OOC: Headcanons

✜ a nervous tic or habit they do

Kiba has a habit of shifting his weight from one foot to the other, and the vigorousness all depends on how he's feeling at the time; if he's excited it's almost a bounce, nervous and its a quick shuffle, ready to fight and its a low shift, almost a weave. He also has a habit of sticking his arms up behind his head, and gesticulating with his hands while he talks.
Essentially, Kiba has real trouble staying still, and a lot of his tics and habits are physical ones that seem more like fidgeting.

✜ describe their usual smile

You wouldn't exactly call Kiba's personality a sunny one but he's very rarely not smiling in some form or another, and his usual smile is much more like a smirk than it is anything else. When something amuses him a fang will slip over his lower lip as he smiles - probably accompanied with a chuckle. It's pretty difficult to tell when Kiba's smiles are genuine or teasing, so the sooner those around him learn that even his most sincere expressions still tend to look a little cheeky, the better.

✜ do they look up or down while thinking?

Kiba definitely looks down. He's the type to furrow his brows and mutter along while he puzzles thing, whether they be strategies or difficult questions. Kiba's intelligence isn't startlingly high, so he has to look at the ground to ensure he's not going to get distracted while trying to figure things out.

✜ describe their usual sleeping position

Kiba sleeps like a starfish when he's alone, or away from Akamaru.. but if his dog is around, then Kiba usually has an arm slung over him, or pillows himself into his huge fluffy side and sleeps pretty soundly.

✜ describe something they like without naming it

Seeing the edge of lips twitch in retaliation was the reason Kiba did it; not the narrowing of his eyes betrayed by the ever so slight twitch of his hairline, or the slight tensing of his frame.. it was the way his words caused that small flicker of something inflect in an expression so typically stoic.

✜ what's their posture like in a normal situation?

Kiba tends to stand with his arms folded, and his posture is one that practically begs for a punch in the face. He's cocky through and through - he usually stands with his hips pushed forward, his weight on his spine with his shoulders drawn down and his chin in the air. Don't you just wanna smack that mental image?

✜ describe their hands

Kiba has pretty average hands. They're not too big, not too wide or flat, not too feminine looking and not too hardened from training, either. The one interesting thing about Kiba's hands are his fingernails; they are a little longer than what might be considered normal, and grow even longer and larger and sharper when he demonstrates his clan's Four Legs Technique....

However, Kiba's hands look appropriately weathered for someone who spends most of his time practising physical taijutsu and looking after animals, but he's still young so his skin is still pretty supple.

✜ how would their hair gray? or would they lose their hair first?

Are you kidding? The Inuzuka will never go bald, they naturally have way too much hair. Kiba will probably never go gray, either - his hair might lose it's life and maybe a little of it's colour and go pale, but his hair will always be there.
Kiba is pretty sure he'll go out with a bang before any of that has a chance to happen, anyway.

✜ describe how they show affection.

Kiba is aaaaall physical, baby. His relationships build up from pats on the back to punches on the shoulders, to jumping tackles and wrestling in very quick succession (usually quicker than the other party is neccesarily prepared for...).
If he's comfortable with you, he'll show it by making a point of making some kind of contact with you, even if it's just a shoulder nudge. 
Going a little further than friendship, Kiba is a massive cuddler. It wouldn't seem so from the outward impression he gives, but should an opportunity for cuddles arise he will be all over it. Honestly just any kind of physical action is a-okay with Kiba. 

Stepping away from the physical, however, Kiba shows affection in his words and actions by way of his loyalty. Kiba's entire friendship circle is based on loyalty, and once you manage to acquire his trust he'll defend you and stay at your side till his very last breath. If Kiba jumps in to protect your honor, or defends you in an argument, or listens to you when you talk, then you know he feels some kind of affection for you.
Kiba is also a big fan of comfortable teasing, and if he finds anyone comfortable enough with him to take his teasing as the joke it usually is, then they're definitely a keeper.

✜ what is one of their favorite items?

Kiba has an old shirt with a dog face on the front that he's way too big to fit into now, but.. he still keeps it.

☾ - sleep headcanon:
Kiba has vivid, usually colourful and exciting dreams. Every night, all the time. They're usually about training or running with Akamaru - although he keeps having a weird dream about a cut of steak breaking up with him? Weird.

★ - sad headcanon:
Kiba doesn't miss his father, but he misses having a complete family. He vows to never leave a hole like that in the hearts of any of his pack.

☆ - happy headcanon
Kiba was worried, when he was younger, that whichever dog he was eventually given wouldn't like him, since before he met Akamaru, he hadn't really got along well with any canine yet.. Apparently it was all about his confidence, because from the first day he and Akamaru were a team it was clear to see they were meant to be, and Kiba quickly became a favourite of all the clan ninken.

☠ - angry/violent headcanon

Kiba gets pissed off very easily, usually by tiny things that he should really just learn to ignore.. but when he gets really angry it's clear to see that something more has affected him, because on those rare occasions he'll brood like a thunderstorm... He might turn Akamaru away, or keep the canine close to him, but he'll be silent and grumpy - and violent. Tussles turn into brawls, and playful yips become snarls of mean anger. It's lucky those kinds of bad moods are rare!

✿ - sex headcanon
Kiba is a teenage boy and has one hell of a libido. What did you expect?
It's a little difficult to relieve said libido when your dog is always at your side, but the two have some mutual no-go zones and Kiba has a couple signals to tell his ol' buddy to go sit in the corridor for a little while........
Kiba is still a virgin but...... probably not for want of trying. He'll hit on anything humanoid with a pulse, but usually to no effect. 

■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon
 
"The Inuzuka compound is a medium-sized compound - not too fancy like the Hyuuga's, but is still kept presentable nonetheless. It's more practical than anything, built to accommodate 15-25 clansmen at one time. The air is always filled with the sound of barking and loud shouts. The colour scheme is beige and brown. 
...
Despire the outwardly traditional appearance, the inside of the compound has been progressed with the times. Rooms with the exception of shared rooms are decorated as inhabitants please. Thus, one bedroom may be traditional with paintings and a tatami mat, while another may have posters of movie stars and a wooden bed.

In the garden there's no koi pond as the dogs tend to disturb the fish. Besides, it's a waste of money. There aren't that many nice plants either for that same reason. Instead the garden is mainly a well-maintained grass field scattered with trees and bushes. Certain clan members have tried to cultivate flowers. They failed.

The Inuzuka Compound has a reception room where the clan leader receives guests. It's decoration reflects the Inuzuka's committment to their traditional values and loyalty to Konoha.

The Inuzuka compound has a small training area out back for clan members to practice techniques and train. There are a few training dummies, weapons and target boards for use.

The dining room is communal, as is the kitchen which can be accessed through a door leading from the dining room. The dining room is very long, with meals being taken at a long, rectangular table capable of accomodating 25 people. Traditionally the alphas sit at the top on opposing sides."

♡ - romantic headcanon
Kiba loves the idea of having a relationship, but somehow for some reason he falls short every time he makes a stab at it. Three guesses why.
However, given the chance it would be easy to see how dedicated Kiba can get when he really cares about a person. Kiba has all the potential to be a good romantic partner due to the fact that he's very affectionate and can be thoughtful and kind (if a little oblivious sometimes) if he puts his mind to it.


♥ - family headcanon
Kiba's whole world is his family, and tends to lump his friends and family together under the catch-all of "his pack"... Despite that, however, there is no-one more important to him than his mother, sister and Akamaru. 

☮ - friendship headcanon
Kiba's friends are akin to his family, so his protectiveness prevails there too.
Kiba is also the type of person who wants as many friends as he can get, and so has gained the habit of... gently forcing his friendship on many people who may not be as enthusiastic as him about the idea. Kiba likes to think he has a huge circle of friends, and in some ways he does.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon
Kiba's hobbies are pretty typical.. He likes racing, exploring, bathing/walking/petting/grooming Akamaru, eating, sleeping... Nothing out of the ordinary.

▼ - childhood headcanon
Being the youngest of Tsume's branch, Kiba is the baby of the family (or at least he is till the next line of clanbabies comes along. The Inuzuka breed like rabbits....) and had a fantastic childhood tussling and playing games with all of his clansmen. In the Inuzuka clan you don't stick to your own branch, every member of the clan is as close to you as a brother, so Kiba has many mentors and supports within his clan.

∇ -. old age/aging headcanon
Kiba craves growing old with a family. He wants to meet someone who wants a litter of kids, and he wants to raise them as well as Tsume did him. He has a very deep-seated need to be a good dad, that he probably won't even realise is there till it happens.

♒ - cooking/food headcanon

Kiba actually likes cooking a lot! When he was younger he liked to sit on the counter watching his mother cook, and so picked up some of her tricks... He has a well tailored nose, therefore, in seasoning and flavour combinations... 
But he doesn't really have the patience to actually practice cooking for himself........
